[edit] Example
|
| Behemoth is a Stunner and a Support support hero. He really shines in team fights when he can use Portal Key to blink into the middle of the enemy team and use Shockwave to wreck them. He can also use Fissure to stop heros from getting away or chasing by blocking a whole lane. |
By: Drasha
[edit] Skill Overview
- Fissure - Good for trapping people and hurting them in general.
- Enrage - Not that good the short cool down works well with Heavyweight.
- Heavyweight - Makes all of your spells stun people around you makes enrage worth casting
- Shockwave - If done right this can kill an entire team
[edit] Skill Build
There are about 3 ways to build your behemoth. The 3rd build (not listed here) goes for stats while your maxing out fissure so you have the mana to use it. I don't personally like this build but you might give it a try.
Basic
Basic is where you focus on fissure and level up Heavyweight after that. This build gives you a strong nuke that deals good damage and has a nice range its the best when your still getting a feel for the behemoth.
Advanced
The second focuses on leveling up Heavyweight first to give your self a good stun with enrage and more AoE damage with Shockwave. This build is for when you have got the hand of the behemoth and can use fissure to block heros from escaping.
| Level | Basic | Advanced |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fissure | Fissure |
| 2 | Heavyweight | Heavyweight |

[edit] Item Build
Starting Items
X2 = 370
- To make into bracers.
X1 = 50
- Never know when you will need it and you have to gold for it.
X2 = 180
- To heal your self.
Total Cost = 325
Early Game
Build basic survivabilty items.
- 500
- No one likes being slow
X3 = 1530
- You're going to be a target so you need the health to live until you get your spells off. Made from Pretenders Crown.
X1 = 1700
- Gives you the mana pool you need to use fissure as a nuke.
Total Cost = 2710
Mid Game
The only real item you need for midgame is the Portal Key. Once you've got that, upgrade your boots to Enhanced Marchers or Post Haste you can start building lategame items. Which item you'll want to build depends on what you need. More HP: go for Behemoth's Heart, more damage: Restoration Stone, more mana: Frostfield Plate.
- 2150
- Turns you into a cannon ball of death; 100% have-to-have item.
- 1550
- More speed and a little armor. Get this OR Post Haste.
- 2700
- Map control. Get this OR Enhanced Marchers.
Total Cost = 6400
Late Game
- 5300
- Puts the big in bang in most cases its over kill but its fun.
- 4700
- Gives you more aoe damage after you ult and a larger mana pool.
- 5500
- Makes you a lot harder to kill and it is named after you.
Total Cost = 15500
Situational Items
- 2350
- If you're against a nuke-heavy team, this can greatly help survivability.
- 3910
- Good for making sure you get your ultimate off. Magic immunity to make sure you don't get stunned or killed.
[edit] Gameplay
Early Game
You're pretty weak at the start of the game and you want to do your best to stay alive make sure you use Fissure defensively or to prevent them getting away from your teams gank. Your focus should be hanging around the creeps getting last-hits if its safe.
Mid Game
You should have your 3 bracers by now and be working towards a Portal Key. If you're having trouble getting gold in lane you can forest by using Enrage for aoe damage. Once you have your Portal Key just look for groups of heros who are bunched up blink in and use Shockwave. It's a good idea to do this with allies near by to come in and kill them after you ult. Try to do it around as many creeps as possible to increase the damage. Also make sure you upgrade your boots to Enhanced Marchers or Posthaste; they both have their ups and downs. You can also grab your Ring of Sorcery to give you all the extra mana you need. The ring really makes it so you don't have to worry as much about mana and it's cheap.
Late Game
You're still pretty much just a giant cannon ball but you can start working on items to help you survive being hit by every thing the enemy has after you blink. Don't count out Shaman's Headdress its a very good item to grab if the other team is nuke heavy. If you end up getting all of these items or you just feel like it grab a Restoration Stone to double ult for the heck of it.
[edit] Hero Synergy
Good Allies
Bad Enemies
[edit] Wrap Up
Behemoth can be very hard to play but once you get good at using Fissure he becomes deadly. As always have fun with this hero and once you get the basics down; experiment. There is never only one way to play a hero well.
