Armor reduces damage taken from non-magical sources.

Damage Reduction = ([armor]*0.06)/(1+0.06*[armor])
There are many items and skills that grant additional armor.
Every point of agility gives 0.14 armor.
Here is a chart of damage reduction per point of armor. The damage reduction diminishes as armor increases; however, the effective hp increase you get does not. Every point of armor adds 6% of your max hp to your effective hp. The formula for effective HP is EHP = HP/(1-damage reduction) or EHP = HP (1 + 0.06*Armor)

The following items give a bonus to armor (in order of amount granted).
- Frostfield Plate +15 armor
- Daemonic Breast Plate +10 armor. Aura: +5 armor to allies, -5 armor aura to enemies
- Plate Mail +10 armor
- Abyssal Skull +5 armor aura
- Astrolabe +5 armor. On use heals 250 and gives +2 armor to allied units
- Barbed Armor +5 armor
- Shield of the Five +5 armor. On use gives +2 armor to allied units
- Symbol of Rage +5 armor
- Plated Greaves +5 armor. On use gives +2 armor to allied units
- Insanitarius +5 armor
- Ringmail +5 armor
- Helm of the Victim +5 armor
- Whispering Helm +5 armor
- Nome's Wisdom +4 armor aura
- Ring of the Teacher +3 armor aura
- Ring of Sorcery +3 armor
- Guardian Ring +2 armor
[edit] Items that reduce armor
The following items reduce an enemies armor.
- Shield Breaker - Reduces the armor of enemies you attack by -6 for 5 seconds.
- Daemonic Breast Plate +10 armor. Aura: +5 armor to allies, -5 armor aura to enemies
[edit] Skills that increase armor
The following skills give a bonus to armor.
- Hammerstorm's Galvanize - +3/5/7/9 Armor and +14% Movement Speed to allies within 500 radius of Hammerstorm.
- Jeraziah's Sol's Blessing - Applies Sol's Blessing to targets in 600 radius for 5/6/7 seconds. Increases Armor by 1000 and Health Regeneration by 25.
- Predator's Stone Hide - Adds +3/6/9/12 armor and magic immunity, lasts 3/3.75/4.5/5.25 seconds.
- Pebbles' Slab Skin - Increases armor by 2/4/6/8 and reduces duration of debuffs by 10/20/30/40%.
- Demented Shaman's Storm Cloud - Applies Storm Shield to allies and Storm Strike to enemies in radius for 12/18/24 seconds. Storm Shield adds one Armor per charge, Storm Strike removes one Armor per charge.
- Wildsoul's Bear Form - Health +250/400/600, Armor +2/4/6. Wildsoul's attacks becomes melee (100).
- Keeper of the Forest's Nature's Protection - Applies Nature's Protection to the target ally or building for 40 seconds. +1/2/3/4 Health Regeneration and +3/6/9/12 Armor.
- Plague Rider's Cursed Shield - Applies Cursed Shield to target for 40 seconds. +3/6/9/12 Armor. When attacked, applies Infected to attacker for 2 seconds.
- Engineer's Tinker - When cast on an ally tower, increases its armor by 3/5/7/9 and increases its attack speed by 10/20/30/40.

The following skills reduce an enemies armor.
- Andromeda's Aurora - Deals 25/50/75/100 damage to targets in a 1400-range line and applies Aurora for 20 seconds. -5/-10/-15/-20% Base Damage and -2/-3/-4/-5 armor. The Aurora grants vision around it for a duration.
- Engineer's Tinker - When cast on an enemy tower, decreases its armor by 3/5/7/9 and decreases its attack speed by 10/20/30/40.
- Armadon's Snot Storm - Applies Sticky Snot to target for 5 seconds, adding one charge. 20% movement slow + 2/6/9/12% per charge. 1/-1/-2/-2 armor per charge. 600 range.
- Pandamonium's Flick - Applies Flicked to target for 6 seconds. -2/-4/-6/-8 armor and reducing movement speed by 20/30/40/50% initially, recovering to full speed over duration.
- Predator's Terror - Applies Terror to enemy units in 450 radius around self for 20 seconds. -4/8/12 armor. When attacked, buffs attacker's attack speed by 30/50/70% and movement speed by 15% for 4.5 seconds.
- Corrupted Disciple's Overload - Shoots a jolt every 0.87/0.75/0.6 seconds that does 37.5/50/62.5 Physical damage to the lowest health target in the radius around the Disciple. Applies Jolted for 3 seconds to the targeted unit. Adds a charge to Jolted each time the same unit is hit. -1 armor per charge.
- Soulstealer's Dread - Applies Presence of the Dark Lord to all enemies within 900 radius of Soulstealer. -2/-3/-4/-5 armor.
- Demented Shaman's Storm Cloud - Applies Storm Shield to allies and Storm Strike to enemies in radius for 12/18/24 seconds. Storm Shield adds one Armor per charge, Storm Strike removes one Armor per charge.
- Deadwood's Rotten Grasp - After a 1.5 second delay, applies Rotten Grasp to all enemies in the radius or who walk into the radius. Effect lasts for 1/1.7/2.3/3 seconds. Immobilized, -1/-2/-3/-4 armor, 100 Magic damage per second.
- Kraken's Whirlpool - Creates a whirlpool at target location. Teleports all units around Kraken 4/5/6 seconds after activation to whirlpool's location, dealing 150/300/450 Magic damage to enemy units and applying Drench for 4 seconds. -2/-4/-6 armor, 20/30/40% movement reduction. Whirlpool can be manually activated after 2 seconds.
- Pestilence's Swarm - Applies Swarm to target for 30 seconds. Swarm reduces armor by 5/10/15 and reveals the target and 350 radius area around it.
